first pair of hands

I've painted the first pair of hands, and make foot molds. Tomorrow I will start the head mold.

Hildegard Gunzel book

Finally got the book I ordered.
It's really helpful, especially the chapter on molds.
It 's an old book and there are many photos of the first dolls by Mrs Gunzel. I am satisfied with this purchase.

hands mold

I'm really happy today, the hand mold is good and work well, the first casting of slipfas is ready but I want to wait until tomorrow before removing from the mold. Tomorrow I should recive 25kg of plaster and can go on with molds of doll parts.

New article

I am happy to inform you that the issue number 25 of the italian doll magazine "La bacchetta magica" is came out with an article on my dolls at page 24-25.

First mould (arms)

Today I've made the first part of arms mould, I've also sculpt a new pair of feet more in proportion with the rest of the body.

change of face

See and see again the new head of the doll and I could not be satisfied. There is a problem of proportion and that tormented me so today I decided to made ​​a big change, I choose a bit more mature features and expanded everything. The new sculpture is still in its early stages but I'm much more confident now. To get the best we must have the courage to disrupt our work and never being content with the first result. If you do not like something you have to change it.

Spring saturday in Florence

Past weekend I spent some hours doing tourist in my Florence with my family. It's a beautiful city full of art, and saturday was a wonderful sunny day so I want to share some pictures I've done with my new camera (finepix HS10).
